As a result of our continued growth and investment to expand the Zydis technology platform, we are seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team based in Swindon.
As the successful candidate you will perform a variety of tasks contributing to the day to day operation of the Analytical Development group and its laboratory areas.
You will be responsible for project management and execution of analytical activities. All work within the Analytical Development group is to be performed in accordance to cGXP requirements, including analytical investigations, adhering to project timelines and maintaining safe working conditions.
Subject matter expert (SME) and Analytical lead on development projects, including knowledge share and mentoring of junior staff.
Has a good knowledge of use and operation of all commonly used laboratory equipment
Ability to work autonomously on analytical testing including work in support of process development & validation, stability batch release, clinical batch release and analytical method validation.
Contribute to research into new technologies - product and equipment based.
Assist with improvements and efficiency drives within the Analytical Development team
Displays an awareness of regulatory requirements involved in all analytical activities
Understand root cause analysis and application of statistical skills
To work in and maintain a safe working environment, including participation in laboratory housekeeping duties, upkeep of the stability facilities and routine laboratory safety audits
Trained in QM systems including Trackwise, Qumas, and LIMS. Implementation of change controls and change requests.
Contribute to site initiatives both departmental and cross functional.
Displays in depth knowledge of regulatory requirements involved in all analytical activities including but not limited to cGMP, ICH (Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q8), Pharmacopeias and standard operating procedures.
Write SOP’s, analytical methods, stability protocols, method validation protocols and analytical investigations. Writes well-structured technical reports and other complex documentation in accordance to company procedures.
Science graduate or higher with proven experience of laboratory operation in a cGXP environment or extensive industry experience.
Experience of method validation and development.
