Catalent require a Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement Engineer to join the team at the Swindon site.

The team is responsible for leading improvement projects in manufacturing with the objectives of eliminating repeat failures, reducing waste and manufacturing costs while improving quality, increasing efficiency and ensuring process and patient safety.

The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and will work across multiple functions in leading the development and implementation of solutions within a fast paced environment.

This is a full time role based at our Swindon manufacturing site and is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that places great importance on continuous professional development for their staff.

Role Description:

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.

  • Lead and develop robust solutions that increase plant reliability, process capability and reduce waste

  • Lead cross functional teams using the DMAIC methodology with a focus of eliminating repeat deviations

  • Take leadership in technical liaisons with customers and assigned products.

  • Facilitate root cause analysis and brainstorming sessions with cross functional teams.

Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of the DMAIC methodology.

  • Able to communicate at all levels and able to write and present clear, concise documents to high standard

  • Target driven and able to deliver projects to deadline

  • Change management experience

  • IT proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Lean/Six sigma experience, green belt

  • Ideally you will have experience of a fast-moving manufacturing environment

  • Certified

  • Understanding of a variety of root cause analysis tools
