Catalent Pharma Solution are looking to source a skilled Business Development Account Director to focus on our Biologics Drug Product offering across the Northern European market.

This position has responsibility for growing our partnership base and achieving and exceeding sales/Wins and revenue targets in Northern Europe territory. A key objective is business growth in the region through the identification, evaluation, recommendation and negotiation of multiple value-added development and manufacturing contracts.

The Role

  • Responsible for building and continued increase in the business pipeline for Northern Europe Territory

  • Develop and execute on Northern Europe sales plan with the objective to achieve annual sales through acquisition and closing of new deals.

  • Identify, open, lead and close business development deals with new and existing clients; promoting company visibility, growth and profitability.

  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts (MSA, partnership agreements, etc.) for European clients

  • Build robust meeting / call plans for individual territories in region with specific KPIs and metrics

  • Organize, facility and attend site visits with prospective clients; setting agendas, coordinating team participation and leading discussions. Follow with diligent feedback and strategies to address any concerns.

  • Develop, nurture and maintain a positive, constructive and trusting working relationship with members of relevant internal teams at both site locations.

  • Provide market intelligence acquired through sales initiatives to business development and other cross-functional teams.

  • Coordinate both internal and external technical, legal and/or financial due diligence activities regarding specific business opportunities.

  • Represent the company at various trade shows, community and/or business meetings.

The Candidate

  • Scientific background in Biologics

  • 10 years of relevant industry or lab experience post Doc would be considered

  • Willing to consider scientific candidates in non-lab career paths

  • Must have ability to establish trust and partnerships with senior level stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel

  • Remote based role

  • Understanding of biologics development and manufacturing science and procedures

  • CGMP, preferred

  • General understanding of the biotech market place and landscape
