Cost Accounting Manager

The Cost Accounting Manager will be supporting Catalent's St. Petersburg location. This site is our primary softgel development and manufacturing facility in North America with a capacity of 18 billion capsules per year. The featured RP Scherer softgel technology is a proven oral drug delivery solution to enhance bioavailability of poorly soluble Rx and OTC drug candidates. Non-gelatin based OptiShell® and Vegicaps® capsules expand the range of molecules into softgel, ideal for challenging fill formulation. Within the Catalent network, we offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve your most difficult development and manufacturing challenges.

The Role:

  • Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System

  • Manage Cost Accounting and Production Analysis function

  • Responsible for month end and year end closure activities

  • Manage and give necessary supervision to professional cost accounting activities

  • Install cost control procedures and provides staff supervision over cost systems and methods

  • Compile periodic statements of product cost and prepare appropriate operating reports

  • Follows up expenditures of appropriations and supervises the assembly of data and comparisons of various budget items

  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, required

  • Advanced degree, preferred

  • CPA or CMA, preferred

  • 5+ years progressive experience in the Finance/Accounting field

  • 1+ year supervisory experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirement

  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds

  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience
