Job Title: Director Financial Planning & Analysis

Reports to: Vice President Financial Planning & Analysis and Enterprise Risk Management

Location: Somerset, NJ

Position Summary

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group provides budgeting, forecasting, reporting and ad hoc financial analysis to the CFO, business unit leadership, functional area leaders, Private Equity Stakeholders, and the Board of Directors with the intent to help with the business development and decision-making process.

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will work closely with the Execution Leadership Team that consists of the SVP- Operations, SVP – Quality and Regulatory Affairs, and the SVP – Product Development about financial analysis, decision making support, monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Additionally, this role will support the CFO and Vice President, FP&A with various presentations and ad hoc analysis on an as needed basis.

The Role

  • Support Execution Leadership Team in performing budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial/operational analysis related to base cost management, working capital management, headcount control, and operational performance

  • Lead the budget process including: developing, communicating and driving the budget timeline, creating budget templates, creating/maintaining budget roll-up files, preparing budget deliverables for Execution Leadership Team

  • Perform monthly review of results and provide analysis of results vs. budget and forecasted expectations for Execution Leadership Team

  • Support the Execution Leadership Team in the global Catalent annual Budget and Strategic Plan processes

  • Support CFO and Vice President, FP&A in the preparation of presentations to the Board of Directors, Investors/Bondholders, Private Equity Stakeholders and members of the Executive Leadership Team.

The Candidate

  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred.

  • 7+ years’ experience in budgeting & financial analysis preferred

  • HFM experience

  • Strong organizational, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Supervisory experience preferred
