Catalent Pharma Solutions Equipment Technician (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F) - 2 Positions Available in San Diego, California

Job Description

Catalent Pharma Solutions is looking to hire an Equipment Technician for our San Diego, CA site. Equipment Technicians are responsible for executing equipment cleaning, equipment cleaning verification, participating in calibrations & validation activities and support manufacturing equipment disassembly and general equipment maintenance. Hours for the position are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required based on site needs. Currently, there are two open positions available.

The Role (daily responsibilities)

  • Calibration & Validation activities include: Oversee onsite vendors for Calibration of cGMP equipment; Assist manufacturing engineers in the validation of cGMP equipment; Maintain organization in the equipment storage areas.

  • Equipment Cleaning activities include: Support disassembly of manufacturing equipment prior to cleaning; Participate in manufacturing equipment cleaning; Sample manufacturing equipment for cleaning verification; Prep solutions for manufacturing equipment cleaning; Document cleaning verification results and submit results for approval; Data entry and analysis of related information as required.

  • Maintain constant supervision, organization, and control over cGMP equipment

The Candidate (requirements)

  • 0-2 years of experience in a cGMP environment

  • Associates Degree (A.A .or A.S.) in an engineering, technical or science based field is preferred. Past formal technical training is highly desirable

  • Knowledgeable in use of all basic hand tools and have mechanical aptitude. Recent experience maintaining large scale manufacturing equipment is preferred

  • Ability to accurate take detailed measurements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction (oral and written), Required to demonstrate excellent communication skills

  • Strong time management and organization skills with an understanding of scheduling/deadlines and prioritizing tasks independently

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, 5 to 10 times per day/shift.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position
