The Mechanical Supervisor provides direct supervision to the Mechanical/Electrical and Facility Staff. The Mechanical Supervisor is directly responsible for the union electrical and mechanical staff. The Mechanical Supervisor ensures equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, mechanical execution, unplanned maintenance and continuous improvement as well as additional diagnostic and technological responsibilities. The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for decreasing downtime through Opex activities as well as serving as a subject matter expert on existing equipment/infrastructure as well as cutting-edge Clinical technology.

The role of the Mechanical Supervisor is critical to ensuring the machinery is operating efficiently and within specifications always keeping patient safety in mind. It directly affects production in producing patient kits and meeting critical deadlines. Efficiency, time-management and quality work is a must to be successful in this role which ultimately impacts patient first

The Role

  • Supervise all mechanical personnel and to assist and train as required.

  • Assure compliance with GMP’s, SOP’s, FDA, DEA and OSHA rules and regulations.

  • Use of CMMS system to organize, execute, document and trend all equipment related activities

  • Able to balance multiple issues simultaneously in a fast pace environment.

  • Identify and assist in resolving mechanical/facilities/electrical related downtime and support Reliable Supply mindset and culture

The Candidate

  • Associate Degree required with 4 years minimum of relevant experience

  • Technical/Mechanical Supervisory role 5+ years of experience preferred

  • Pharma industry experience a preferred

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair both major and minor pieces of packaging and labeling equipment using problem-solving techniques.

  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, mechanical or PLCs as needed.

  • Advanced software skills: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, pay attention to detail, work under pressure and meet tight timelines
